Current availability These Terms are effective for the public information website and any authorized internal evaluation of the Application. The website does not offer public registration or OAuth-enabled analytics. Those functions will remain unavailable until a separate Application environment and the required privacy and security controls are operational.

1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of Essen Studio Tools and Essen Channel Analytics (the "Application"), provided by Essen Digital Studio ("Essen," "we," "us," or "our").

By accessing or using the Application, you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, and the applicable terms of third-party services described below. If you do not agree, do not use the Application or authorize access to your Google account.

2. The Application

Essen Channel Analytics is a private analytics and editorial decision-support tool. It is intended to help authorized users analyze channel and video performance, thumbnail click-through signals, audience-retention patterns, transcripts, and internal content-production workflows.

The public website at tools.essenstudio.ca provides information about the Application and its data practices. It does not offer public registration, process Google credentials, or provide the analytics functionality itself.

The Application is not intended to publish, edit, delete, like, comment on, or otherwise modify YouTube content. Any such functionality would require revised terms, privacy disclosures, scopes, and user controls before release.

3. Eligibility and account authorization

You may use the Application only if you are expressly authorized by Essen Digital Studio and have authority to grant access to the relevant Google account, YouTube channel, or content-owner data.

You must:

  • provide accurate information and use only accounts and channels you are authorized to connect;
  • review the application identity and requested scopes shown by Google before granting access;
  • protect access to your device and internal Application account, if any; and
  • promptly notify Essen if you suspect unauthorized access or an incorrect channel connection.

You may decline or revoke Google OAuth authorization at any time. Some or all Application features will stop working when required permission is absent.

4. YouTube and Google terms

The Application uses YouTube API Services. By using the Application, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Your use of Google services is also subject to applicable Google terms and the Google Privacy Policy.

You can review and revoke the Application's access through Google Account third-party access settings.

Essen Studio Tools and Essen Channel Analytics are products of Essen Digital Studio. They are not products of, endorsed by, or affiliated with Google LLC or YouTube. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.

5. Acceptable use

You must not use the Application to:

  • access a channel, account, or dataset without authorization;
  • harvest, surveil, profile, or identify users for an undisclosed purpose;
  • circumvent YouTube or Google restrictions, quotas, security controls, or user choices;
  • scrape YouTube or Google applications or combine the Application with unlawfully obtained data;
  • sell, redistribute, or disclose Authorized Data to an unauthorized person;
  • upload malicious code, interfere with the service, or probe systems without written permission; or
  • use the Application in violation of law, these Terms, YouTube's policies, or Google's API terms.

6. Data, privacy, and analytical output

Our intended data practices are described in the Privacy Policy. That policy explains the YouTube data categories the Application may access, how OAuth works, possible third-party AI processing, and the required retention, revocation, and deletion controls.

Metrics, comparisons, generated summaries, and AI-assisted output are analytical aids. They may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate and should be reviewed by a qualified person before editorial, commercial, legal, or operational decisions are made.

You retain whatever rights you hold in your original content and data. These Terms do not transfer ownership of your YouTube channel or content to Essen.

7. Intellectual property

The Application, site design, software, documentation, and Essen branding are owned by or licensed to Essen Digital Studio, excluding third-party content, data, names, and trademarks. Authorized use is limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and solely for Essen-approved internal purposes.

8. Availability and disclaimers

The Application is under development. Features may change, be suspended, or be unavailable. Google or YouTube may change APIs, scopes, quotas, policies, or data availability at any time.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Application is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted operation, error-free output, fitness for a particular purpose, or continued availability of any third-party API.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Essen Digital Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, revenue, profits, opportunities, or goodwill arising from use of or inability to use the Application. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Suspension, termination, and data consequences

Essen may suspend or terminate access if authorization ends, these Terms are violated, third-party access is withdrawn, continued operation creates a security or compliance risk, or the Application is discontinued.

When Google authorization is revoked or can no longer be verified, the Application must stop using that authorization, revoke applicable tokens, and delete related Authorized Data according to the Privacy Policy and YouTube API Services Developer Policies. Deleting data held by the Application does not delete content or data held by YouTube.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Application, policies, or law. The date at the top identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated to authorized users where appropriate.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to any mandatory rights or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded, disputes arising from these Terms or the Application will be submitted to the courts of Québec, Canada.

13. Contact
